Well I have somebody in the US trying to send two over but so far we haven't found a company willing to ship them cheap enough. If you can then I'd be happy to do business :king:

I didn't expect it to be cheap but $400 is just incredible haha. There are some on eBay that state £50 shipping oddly enough. But eBay has that global shipping program I suppose.

Well I do have a royal I'm not really determined to keep. It is in nice shape, I serviced the brush bar when I got it, the belt is very new, it's clean and shiny still. It's one of the slightly later-ish ones with a really powerful motor.

It's a model 996, and I can get pictures of it up in a while, but you might be in bed by the time I do. I can check on shipping to tomorrow or Monday. I wouldn't want too much for the machine either.

Well I'll hop over to a UPS store either tomorrow or Monday and let you know what they say. I'll probably disassemble it so it can be packed in a smaller box. Hopefully shipping won't be too bad! Glad it's what you were looking for at least.

I think it could be packed quite small but it's the weight that would cause the problems.

Now having to use Dads old Dell, Luckily dad can fix laptops!
I went out a few years ago (About 6) to Birmingham to collect a Dyson DC04 Grey and Lime which had a new looking wand without the 'No loss of suction' sticker and it had a DC07 silver head on it, The whole unit was really good, really powerful suction!, Saw it advertised on FreeCycle! Went and collected it with Mum, I was about 7 Years old then

the internet is fine, but for snapchat it takes a while to load sometimes :|

Well Rusty I'm sorry to say that I don't think I can get shipping much below what that other guy was saying. I had a go at UPS's shipping estimator and the lowest estimated cost was still eye watering.

That's how it has been with dyson dc01's for me. I've wanted to import one for several years now but MVacs came along with that nice early one and I felt the time was right.

Hey parwaz, Are you on eBay selling a few DC14's, I searched ebay for DC14 and 25 mile from my address and one of the cheaper options I clicked on came up with Parwaz (forgot the rest) as the seller, and in Birmingham

From the US to here, the cheapest way on a full size vac is to do it via eBay (sell a $10 item or something) and use their Global Shipping Programme. Pretty cheap and the import duty will be £0. You can sort the price difference out between you behind the scenes.

As long as he puts the weight/dimensions of the package right, and includes US delivery, and enables Global Shipping on the listing, You can buy the $10 vacuum on a BIN immediately, he will ship it locally, Pitney Bowes will forward it to Hermes over here (yuk!) and you'll send him the extra $ on the quiet. ;)

The problem isn't so much making an ebay account, more that I've got school starting in a couple days and I'm a few hours away from home, my collection, and consequently that royal. Arranging this from here would be hard plus I would really rather pack it myself (hopefully you can appreciate that). :boggleeye:
My offer stands, but it would have to take place on my next long-ish break which won't be for a while. I don't want much for the machine, it's yours if you want it and if you can wait a while.
