I just bought a drive cog shaft - delighted to have found one with a metal gear as the nylon ones keep getting chewed up..I’ve fitted it and the horrid noise has gone but now the damn thing is going backwards!! I’ve stripoed it down again and double checked it’s all ok, the brushes will spin both ways by hand. What have I done wrong??

never done one myself, but are the wires connected correctly on motor ?
-
Yes the wires have never been disconnected
-
Only thing i could imagine was if a gear or sprocket was incorrect then ?
I had a look at Beko's post on this model...
