Post by: jln on February 08, 2011, 10:57:58 pm

This topic will help you: https://manchestervacs.co.uk/DysonForum/index.php/topic,40.0.html

You can replace it with a YDK one and only change the fan case seal while you are there. I'll throw you the correct seal in if you order one. They are on this page: https://manchestervacs.co.uk/Dyson/cylinder-spares.html and you are looking for "New YDK (YV) Motor - DC05, DC08 and DC11".

Thanks for a quick reply! I have ordered that motor from you - that would be great if you could throw in the seal too.  Many thanks!

I see that one. It'll be in the mail today. It may take a few days as they come with Parcel Force because they are heavy.  :tiphat:

We got another order for one of these today from Italy, and another from Russia.

For others who are not in the UK, you can now buy this item from this page: Dyson Spares Worldwide (https://manchestervacs.co.uk/Dyson/DysonSparePartsUSA.html)
