Does anyone know if it's possible to buy the red velour material for use on the Dyson tools? As far as I know Dyson don't sell the strips so looking for other sources where I could get the material from and maybe cut to size etc.
My searches have proven fruitless so was hoping someone else may be able to point me in the right direction for something suitable

I would like to know this as well. We too have been unable to find any anywhere. I have heard rumours about its availability, but never seen it anywhere.
Any casual readers: If you know about this, do chime in.
Maybe our pal in South Africa here on the forum will know, he likes to save a couple of bob where he can..........

Hey that makes me sound like a tight git, Oh Well probibly true ;D
You should be able to get it from your local supplier I get mine from there agents here.
-
If that doesn't work I can get you a 100m x 2m roll from China for £550.00
it ways about 2 tons so shipping will be a bitch ;D ;D

I never saw it. They once told me they used to do it but don't any more. Do you have a part number? Or know what they call it? I can harass the owners son then. ;)
Edit: I have access to their live system, I just checked, and I don't see it there. They don't even sell silver two core flex any more by the roll.

I've been doing some more Googling and so far the best I have found is 2x strips for £1.95 but it's the same cost again for P&P. Not very cost effective when you only buy a couple but when you spend a certain amount it's free P&P.
Still cheaper than replacing the tools I guess but finding a roll of it is going to be by far the best bet!

£1.95 P&P? :o
Maybe he buys special second class stamps that are four times the price than the ones we buy. :))
I'll do you a good deal on stair tools if you wanted 25 or 50. Just something to bear in mind.

Has anybody had any joy finding this stuff? It must be available somewhere but I'll be buggered if I can find it!
-
These can be found in lint removing tools for your coats etc but I think Gareth can supply a roll of it though
Just cut and super glue them ;D
-
Would it be a good idea by the way to glue these underneath soleplates or is it not necessary

Who's Gareth?

Bumping this thread. Still looking!

Me too! Got plenty of upholstery tools that will be fine again with new velour!

I know this is a very old thread, but I’ve been having the same problem trying to find this part or something I could use in its place.
I’ve ended up buying a cheap clothes brush, made of this, on eBay for £2.46 (free post), going to cut the material to fit the heads and superglue them on. 🤞
It’s crazy that these, or at least a sheet you could cut to size, don’t seem to be available anywhere.
