Title: Noobie here!!
Post by: fatboyslim on March 18, 2015, 09:35:41 am
Hi all thought I'd join up as I recently  bought a job lot of Dysons
2 x DC01 (1 works,1 doesn't)
1 x DC04 works but doesn't pick up very well
1 x DC07 Animal which doesn't work but is the reason I got them all as I can use some parts to replace broken catches etc on our DC07i
My idea then was to hopefully get the others working to a point I could sell them and make a bit of money
But after reading here it seems DC01 spares are like rocking horse poo so probably not worth the hassle
So i'm going to read a bit more before deciding what to do

Welcome to the site.  :tiphat:

It depends which DC01's you have, there are two types. Most is still available for swivel soleplate models.

It was indeed, cut the cable and re did all the connections and it works!!
Just got to figure out why the DC07 doesn't work now, anything easy to check before ripping it to bits??

Fuse, Cable, Switch, Motor.  Is the order I always follow, including cable from switch to motor.
