We have what is essentially a brand new green/lime DC04 available (or will be available next week).
We thought we would try this as a one off. The story is that we have quite a lot of new, mostly genuine Dyson parts for these machines, and someone commented we had enough stuff to build some new ones. So we thought we would try one.
What we have done is take a recycled chassis in perfect condition, chemically pressure cleaned, and to it we have added the following brand new parts to build this machine.
- Motor
- Power cable and switch
- Cleaner head
- Brushroll housing
- Soleplate and brushroll
- Wand handle
- Both hoses
- Cyclone unit
- Wheel kit
- Valve cover, fixings, screws and sundries
- Tools
This will be a brand new, albeit rebuilt from scratch, DC04.
Obviously, because it has virtually all brand new and genuine parts in there, it will be far beyond the standard of any reconditioned machine, and about as close as you will get to a new DC04. In all respects that matter, this is a brand new machine.
I'll post a few pics when its done. Anyone interested, please >>contact us<< (https://shop.manchestervacs.co.uk/index.php?route=information/contact). It will be cheaper than a regular new Dyson, but being a DC04, it wont fall to bits like some of the newer ones do.

Well these are all brand new (mostly genuine Dyson) parts. Even down to the wheels and small details. It is also future-proofed as it has the better YDK motor in. It will last someone a decade or more.

Ahh, that's what ours looked like then, it's all used now lol but hey, nice to know there's a clone still in existence. That lower cord hook does look a bit unusual though.

Might want it, how much? :)

You might want to sit down. ;)

It'll be a better buy than any Dyson upright available new today, it'll last longer than 18 months at least!

Lol :P Agree, our's is 4 years old ;D
I have a weird addiction and interest in the DC41 and DC41 mk2 though, even though it's a love/hate relation ship with my DC40

So I thought I would mention, this machine is £260 including courier delivery, and £240 for anyone who wants to collect it. If you want it, contact us here for a payment link (http://tinyurl.com/puuksul).

Same colour and model as mine 😉

This may be a bit of a stupid question, but since a brand new bin and a brand new belt wasn't mentioned as brand new replacement parts in the bullet points are they also brand new? The bin surely looks amazing!

Bin and cyclone were new old stock. Belts of course we still sell genuine (https://manchestervacs.co.uk/Dyson/Dyson-genuine-belts-907481-02). So yes, it had those too.
