Title: Dc04 absolute loss of suction and power cord
Post by: Elgin on October 02, 2016, 12:09:06 am
Hey guys, Got me a Dyson DC04 Absolute, Purple and Lime and it all works fine but when I stand the Dyson up the hose doesn't have full suction and won't stick to my hand, when I press down on the change-over valve in then get the full suction, also does anyone know where I can get a purple lead with a green plug for it, tried manchester vacs, and ebay but nothing. Want to reduce they grey, I have already put on a purple chassis off a purple and pink dc04 so it now only has 3 grey parts, power cord,  elbow inspection valve and u-bend . So I could do with a purple power cord with a preferably green plug (however yellow would be fine) and also is there any purple inspection pipes anywhere like I know dyson only did grey ones with the exception of the de stijl bit are there any purplease "After market" ones thanks

Check if the U bend is in firmly, the DC04 has a weird U bend which has a habit of staying on, but not firmly so the hose suction leaks.
Also,Sunday is the worst! The next day is bloody Monday :'(

Yep u-bends glued in. I literally had to hammer it in (using my fist) to get it in but the problem is with the elbow I think, see the video here, about to post a link in a min
