Post by: twocheeks on September 02, 2016, 12:22:31 PM
Hi, i have a dc08 turbine that sets off at normal speed but if i knock it slows down like its slipping, but if i restart the hoover it runs fine again until i knock it. Is their anywhere i can purchase a new belt thanks.

Check the plastic fan hasnt cracked rather than the belt. If it has,  glue might save you

Thanks for the reply beko1987. I have had it stripped down and took the fan out and it seemed ok and intact, but the belt felt really loose so put a bit of heat on it to try and tighten it a little which seemed to help as it takes a harder knock now to make it slip, but don't want to go to far as to make it brittle.
