Well i bought a DC01 Blue off eBay ages ago. my papas friend in Birmingham collected it for me. Now i had to just wait for papa to get a load there so he could get it and bring it back up here. So its been about
Its a bit Faded but i have seen worse, it does run but poorly and has no suction what so ever, even if it did i would still strip it down anyway.

I love the blue 01s
I don't mind them, although its the same as the standard but blue that's it.
-
Sadly not really a fan of the blue Dc01/04 :(
I prefer the turquoise of the DC07 and the Satin blue of the DC41/25/26/49

Haha. the reason why I got it because It was cheap and I plan to collect all the DC01's anyway ;)
-
Nice! Beko is also collecting DC01's
I want mine to be Ametek but it's a pain in the butt to convert it to have an Ametek motor (need a new Ametek motor, motor rubbers, housing, bottom housing & the spinal cord) as the connections are also different.
My YDK DC01 is pretty high pitched! I washed the fan but to no joy. Literally hate it now, miss the ametek motor

Beautiful! I need to find one of these, and the Arctic solo one to complete the dc01 lineup!
Didn't mean to start collecting 01s, it just sort of happened!
That box of spares looks interesting, what's in it? Any 500 stuff?

Some tool for something guessing Electrolux
[attachimg=5]
Bag Clips

That white upholstery tool is hoover, eBay that if you don't want it, it's in good nick!
The bags look like 345 bags, probably not much value in the bags, but the machine, I've seen them go for a surprising amount
-
Well does anyone want any of them? other wise they are getting chucked, I'm not a fan for any other type of hoover make apart from Dyson and Numatic and they wont get used for anything.
-
No, I have a few packs myself! I'll have that upholstery tool if you don't want it, can go with my Hooverette or 417...

Put anything you don't want in the package you are sending to us. Especially gen unopened DC01 filters. I'll make sure you get something worthwhile back.
-
I will no be selling the filters and belts for the DC01 but you can have the rest apart from the tool as beko wants it.
-
If mvacs has a need then feel free to let them have it! Doubt they get much call for it though...
-
Does it have a date on the ratings sticker?
-
inside of it is says 2-13?
-
That's probably not a date. On the ratings plate, on the right hand side may be a date if its old enough (DD-MM-YYY).
They don't all have them though
-
I've Came to a complete stop on it atm!. it requires a new motor because either the bearings are shot or the fan case is fecked. so it's going to need a new motor if I like it or not
-
Just replace the bearings! Or have the motor apart and see what the issue is!
Off my head, you'll need to
Tap off the fancase
Undo the bolt holding the fan on (cant remember if its a LH or RH thread though)
Remove nut and washer
remove first fan
remove the spacer egg timer shaped thing
remove the fixed fan
remove the second fan under that
remove the last washer and spacer bit if there is one
Then, you should see this
(https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-KALqfleuBT4/VkDJ4UTlHzI/AAAAAAAAvUI/ATPC9aCzPm0/s800-Ic42/upload_-1.jpg)
Remove the 2 screws and that metal bit should lift off.
If there are any more screws then remove those and the coil and armature should be removable
You might need to remove the carbon brushes, mark with a permanant marker which side goes where
You should then be able to have a look at the bearings. Depending on the size, I might have some, but it's been so long since I've had one apart I cant remember
Have a go, what have you got to loose!
