Any one tried a 1400W YV-2200 in a DC04?
Well I thought since they have more power I will try one in my De Stijl since I had stripped my DC07 down for a wash.
Now - The suction is amazing! only thing I noticed is the suction relief valve obviously kicks in - but doesn't provide enough air for the 2200's so it does still straign a little when blocked. Thats all really.
Wanted a extra power DC04? Stick a YV-2200 in there

Or any after-market motor. They are all 1600w

The 1600w MTR-299's are fantastic in a DC04! Coupled with a washed and good/new internal hose they glue themselves down!

ooh I'll have to try one of them when my Ametek goes bang! Had a YDK in my De Stijl but the bearings siezed and so i just chucked the motor out - had a spare Ametek knocking around since I only had that and didn't see much point in buying a new YDK when I have a perfectly good Ametek sitting right next to me under me bed.

Just put one of these mtr 299s in my silver lime - took the motor out of my 07 as I'm using the 04 for daily driver instead of the 7 now, bloody powerful!!! But quiet! It's a damn good machine
