Title: Vacuum Cleaner Shops in the USA.

For some reason, vacuum cleaners seem to go hand in hand with sewing machines in the USA. So there are loads of places called "Hank's Vac and Sew" and similar. Maybe one of our US members can tell us why sewing and vacuuming seem to go hand in hand over there?

Anyway, on my internet travels, and when I have been there, I see loads of cool little vacuum and/or vac and sew shops there.

I had cause to contact one today. Here it is.

But to expand the topic, if you know a really cool vac and/or vac 'n' sew shop in the US. post it here with a photo. It'll be great to see vacuum shops over the pond.   :icon_nod:

Mention dyson in any vac shop here in texas and you get met with a shotgun barrel! :snivel:
They are all meile fanatics here and always have 20+ dusty kirbies sitting in the shop. I do all my parts ordering on ebay now.

I don't know about that, lot of God freak's round there and there's nothing as flimsy as religions beliefs.

This is Brooke’s Vacuums in Brooklyn, New York.

We visited last month while nearby in New York. They are the oldest vacuum store in Brooklyn, they were the first Dyson dealer in the US, and of course, nowadays they are Sebo dealers too. We had a good chat about all things vacuums with the owner and swapped a few ideas.  :thumbsup:
