Hi have a very early 2001 dc07 standard to sell and its cyclone roots are clogged up with hair and fluff etc and I cannot clean them out. This means no suction and it makes a loud using sound.
Any ideas, hose on jet with some of this didn't work.

First, suck out all the cyclones individually with your most powerful vacuum, something like a DC14 or a Henry would be good.
If that doesn't work, let the cyclone soak in hot water and bleach for a few hours so all the dirt just turns to gunk and spills out.
If that doesn't work, get a sink unblocking powder which (BTW you need to wear protective gear with), so justpour that powder into the cyclones and then pour boiling kettle water into thta, it should eliminate any hair etc.

Or instead of all that, a decent pressure washer.

Ive used a hose with a high pressure handle and mains turned on max - its done loads of DC07's and 14's well
