Hello, I've just bought a second hand DC27 and I want to put new filters in. My problem is that the post motor filter cover is not like the one I've seen in videos or in the schematic. The one on my machine is grey and is hinged at the rear. I've unclipped the three retaining lugs (front, left and right) but I'm not sure how to get the 'hinged' part off. I don't want to break it so I thought I'd ask if anyone knows whether it is simply a matter of pulling it out of the socket or is there some other 'knack' to it. Many thanks.

The DC27 has two types.
Do you have a photo Malc?

Here are three pictures. The 'hinge' is at the back of the cover. Is this any help?

Claire will reply you in the morning when she has shown this our tech.

According to our Tech guy you just need to pull it towards you and wiggle it and it will come unclipped.

Thanks for that, I'll give it a try.

Result! Please pass on my thanks to your tech guy. Gave me the confidence to do it.
