Are there any Dysons out there you lot have never got hold of? I have never had anything past a DC25 in my grubby paws, but have missed a few from the past as well, DC02, DC11, DC15, DC18, DC20, DC21, DC22, DC23 have all passed me by, never had (or even seen) a zorbster either.
-
I don't recall we had a DC02 or a DC03 see through clear one.

I also don't recall a DC03 Independent.

DC02 DeStijl is a machine I've seen a couple of pictures of, but never in the flesh/for sale. Also the DC02 Arctic Solo (the white rannaulf fiennes one). Saw one once being used in a garden centre coffee shop, but none since!
There were a couple of DC03 see through ones on ebay last year, but all with cracked plastic somewhere which is a shame
-
I've got a DC03 clear and the plastic just loves to self destruct :angryman: the only fix Ive come up with is super glue, but then it discolours :'(

I've got 3x DC03 Clear and still can't make one complete one because of all the cracks in the plastic!

Russ... Shame about all 3 dc03 clears being that bad. Basically my dc03 is near perfect but my dc02 clear is very cracked battered and a little discoloured.
Ive never seen a pink dc04 but always wanted one. Same with the white dc24... Seem very drawn to the limited editions.

Since I said it, we got a really mint DC03 silver/white independent in a few days ago mixed in with some trade-in machines. I think we will do it to 'as new' and put it with our De Stijl DC01 and DC04 we did a while back.
In time, when we get new premises, these early machines will be on display for visitors I think.

Just got hold of my first ever DC11 in the last job lot I got hold of. It was late when I picked them up and had just been swimming so they will be staying in the car until morning. :coffee: :sleepy_man:

DC11.... Bulky little bugger, looks a bit like an astronauts back pack :))
-
I finally got one :)
-
Nice one!
I suppose I should cross a dc03 clear off my list now!
-
Nice,

Does anyone have the purple hose handle spare for it?
-
Here are some better pictures of it.[attachimg=1][attachimg=2]

Had quite a swap around with my machines. These are the dysons I am keeping. Got a dc07 origin not in the picture that's for sale.[attachimg=1]
-
I could use that DC02 if and when you are going to part with it. :icon_nod:
We have a De Stijl DC01 and DC04 we fettled and are hoarding. I wouldn't mind a nice DC02 to match.
-
Finally got my hands on a DC02 and only cost me £6.57
And boy what a catch! ;)

Awesome!
Is it as faded as it looks in the picture? Even so a white one is pretty damn rare!
-
It is a bit. Will give it a good clean then store it until I can get hold of wand and floor tool to match. Front wheel holders are there but wheels are missing :( motor works and signature is in tact.
-
Nice! I seen that on eBay lol, the handle is worn isnt it? Like the DC14 wans ends :( But brill find! I think there were like either 90 made or 500
-
It is a bit but unlike on the 14s it doesn't look bad on the 02. Got a floor head on the way just need to find wand with white catch and front wheels.
-
Hehe nice! ; I like White DC14's best TBH, more than a white DC07 and the white DC15 looks cool as well as the newer ones like the DC33 stubborn :)
-
I miss the colours of the old Dysons. All Dysons are red now with a blue, pink, purple or orange cyclone on or something. It looks modern but not as good as the older ones where even the cables were coloured and the cleaner heads :) Buy a soleplate for a Dyson and I guarantee it will be grey today. Back in the day they had purple, red etc
-
I've got a couple of white DC14s in the queue to be done, they do look good. Don't like any of the "new" dysons, they look ugly and feel like they are made of paper and double sided tape. :angryman:
-
LOL XD I have a DC40, I really do feel like throwing it around but I have been VERY rough on it and TBH it is very durable, but doesnt feel like it. Take the cyclone off, the wand off and now turn the ball, the spine flexes like a good 35 degrees!
This is cos the body is a stupid design where there is a hole so that you can see the hose when the cyclone is removed, whats the need for this hole? Also, There are no airflow tubes, instead it comes from under the unit so theres no additional tubes to have a different airpath and support the body :/
DC33 IMho is a good example of this, the body might flex but its not as much as a DC40 and its a good vacuum, but the wand on that is HORRID :(
My neighbour had their DC33 for like a year and a half from new, they have had 2 loss of suction issues, constant brushbar clogs every week/month or so, new motor, new wand (the silly dyson has a glued tool end insead of the lovely clip holding it with the DC14), hose repair and new internal hose. :/ I hope they still like it, well they were asking us for a spare Dyson for their other house!
-
I always used to quite like DC33's, thought of them as the 'last proper dyson with wheels'
Having had a few in for refurb, I dont like them as much now. Got one now where the FDC seal was missing (thanks Mvacs), and the belts were so worn the lady said she could smell burning...
Finished that last night and ran it round the whole house for a good half an hour, and just found it plasticky, the bit where the wand meets the chassis was weak and bwent around ALOT!, wand bends like hell with the plastic, it's big, clunky, the post motor filter cover is weird and looks awful when covered in dust and crap... Doesnt smell like burning now, and the dirt stays in the cyclone and doesnt go straight into the pre motor filter too, which is nice.
Not so keen to get and keep one now! At least their easy to refurb...
-
Lol I hate the post motor filter cover, it feels cheap kinda (that clip to undo it) and eurgh. I like the clear U bend, looks like a cool idea
-
Never seen one of these.

That DC40 was it the main machine i your death of a dyson video or was it a different machine?
-
Oh God, that DC40 is long gone (2015)
and BTW we own a DC41, not a DC40 lol
The Satin/chrome blue ones are DC41s and the purple ones are DC40s (unless you're in America where the DC41 cyclones are purple for some reason)

The DC03 clears?
Are they any good at seeing how much its motor sparks since they are, well clear and you can see the motor - can you like see any sparks when the motor does actualy spark
-
Yes you can see it spark at start up
And if the motor was going bad you would have a good view of the fireworks.

Always wanted one of those clear machines
