I collected my Dyson from the menders (new motor), and as I slammed the door the dyson moved and a piece has broken off the wand just below the cap. I don't really use the wand so does it matter? And if it does matter how can I fix it without buying a whole new wand?
-
glue etc never works with wands they always break again
wand is only about £9 delivered to your door on ebay or try local shops
-
Ouch, bad luck there!
All depends on you really. If the machine is still useable then you could leave it, or qbond/epoxy it back together if it will, but it wont be as strong.
-
Thank you both.
It works as an upright but OH says he uses the wand!
The only wands I can see on the net are £45 or unavailable. Is ANY wand OK or does it have to be for a DC04?
-
There's a job lot of dc04 bits on the bay including a wand for £18.00 + carriage.
You could try Gorilla glue or plumbers pipe weld.
-
Dc04 wands only fit the dc04, and theres 2 types, one for a clutched machine, and one for a non clutched machine.
Mvacs may be able to help you

If its a none clutched I can help

Talking of DC04 wand. I need 2 green and 1 Lilac/purple wand caps, early spring type and a yellow or grey handle insert if anyone has any to sell, preferably from the same person so postage is kept to a minimum.
Thanks.

I'll have as many mint, unbroken DC04 ones as you have @ £4.50 and send you a courier label. :icon_nod:
