Title: DC14 Samsung motor ?
Post by: Tonymini145 on February 14, 2016, 09:06:55 pm: Just overhauled a DC14 hepa as far as I'm aware it was one of the newer ones however every single 14 I've stripped has had a YDK motor anyone shed some light as to why this one has a Samsung motor ?

I had a Dyson DC14 all floors from Jan 2008, which blew last month and it had a YDK motor

Post by: Parwaz7862 on February 15, 2016, 12:14:37 am: I believe Dyson fitted them when they burnt out because they last longer? ButI thought panasonic motors lasted longer because DC25's use panasonic motors and they are built like tanks and never burn out like DC14's/33's with their YDK motors

The rubber motor mounts are different .
I have a spare YDK MOTOR FANCASE SEAL but not a YDK
MOTOR BEARING MOUNT. The Samsung MBM fits onto the YDK (MTR,240kk) motor but is it ok to use?

Me either and I've refurbed/motor swapped at least 100 DC14

Horrible motor in my opinion the brushes are like new and the motors very clean yet it sparks like a :censored: lol

Still came out nice and clean

Post by: smokie1010 on March 28, 2016, 08:25:57 pm: You can use the outer case but you have to use a YDK Rubber seal as the Samsung one wont fit on the YDK Motor.
