An innovative Hoover no bag's to empty! visible muck collection, super suction? accessory tools extra... but also more extra's ...
Either faulty motor's x 2 or parts associated...poor quality all round including all switches incorporated. No bags to empty! just press a lever and all falls into the rubbish bin albeit with airborne germs...a ordinary hoover's paper bag is contained with some dust escaping sure but is certainly a more rapid method of disposal.
The design for the mains on /off operation for both functions is pathetic and could have been made more simplistic ! Housewives were impressed by the spiel given on these machines when presented and were prepared to pay the exorbitant price.
As time catches up with Dyson having sold a few... a new effort is needed why not enclose the main motor in a sphere that rolls along merrily tilting turning but eventually with problems arising that are very expensive for the owner to put right.
In my opinion these Dyson machines have a sell by date... designed to look attractive and a must have Hoover among mostly Woman new or used. A simple ugly hoover that although performs well and sitting in the hallway will be replaced by a Dyson? by all standards of human beings simply by status.
The hype garnered about these Hoovers are a testament that need's a Forum for advice to pay even more money out to sustain them.
This has been a super rant by me but is my opinion only so don't be upset.
NB: P.T. Barnum once said "THERE'S A SUCKER BORN EVERY MINUTE"
Or perhaps he never did. Well it might have been Mr Dyson's past relatives.

Does your cleaner have a ball or two wheels?
I agree with your sentiment, and top rant but the wheeled cleaners are easier to keep going.
Buy a nice bagged upright (which will be tricky I grant you) and most of your issues will dissapear!
Or buy a nice reconditioned dc07/14 and relax!

Did you ever sort this with a nice sebo x4 or DC07?
