Hi, has anybody ever used a dishwasher to clean the parts of their Dyson. I'm talking maybe a cyclone in it's individual pieces. Does it damage the finish?
Cheers Chris

Lots of people do it, should be no problem as long as you dont use the high temperature setting.

The only problem will be if/when the wife catches you doing it... :dead-dyson:

Thanks for your advice guys. I'm going to get a water supply and drain rigged up to my garage then fit a dishwasher in there. Saves using the bath all the time.

I do most parts tbh in the sink, but cyclones i strip as far as i can and then use my jet wash in the garden.
I may move on to a dishwasher when i get my new workshop developed.

I've always found the dishwasher doesn't do as good a job as hot water and elbow grease.
Since I started cleaning dyson parts I now know what to do with old toothbrushes etc.
