Title: Does the DC 07 root cyclone top disassemble so you can clean it?
Post by: rustynailboutique on October 22, 2013, 09:25:10 am
Hi, a Dyson Vacuum is my dream machine vacuum.  We currently own three of them!  My husband and I were able to get inside a DC 07 Animal vacuum's cyclone and replace the seals and clean it.  However, I can't seem to get this new one open.  It is the yellow DC 07 Hepa that also says Root Cyclone on the side  So far I have taken out three screws.  All help is appreciated! Thank you.

It probably has a fin part way down the rod that hinders it coming out. It will slide off I think and isn't really needed.

What seals are you replacing?

Make sure the clear bin is removed, then just undo the 3 torx screws and the whole top handle pulls out, bin rod with it

That's as far as you can get I think, hot water at a good pressure and lots of swirling and banging sorts the rest out. DC14 you can remove 8 torx screws, take the cyclone top off and there's a big seal there. Don't know of one on the 07.
