Title: DC07 pre-motor filter
Post by: lucandhar on September 17, 2011, 09:24:44 pm
I have a faithful DC07 and have noticed the pre-motor filter is different to every other one I've seen, on the yellow housing where everyone else has a cylinder that sticks into the blue filter in the middle I don't mine's just totally flat on the inside, is this ok?

There were two types fitted indeed. The one without the cylinder that you mention, we might see one in say one in every 50 machines. They are interchangeable though, and all the after-market filters are of the design with the cylinder.

The one without the "cylinder" is the very early one. Dyson later modified it. It is no problem to use the older type.
