Has anyone ever thought of a thanks button? And a thanks count under the Avatar?
-
we have one on autoshite, and it's good, but has a fatal flaw in that rather than post up thanks, and bump the thread, people just click like a d the thread vanishes off the page if it's a busy day. some people moan about it, I'm not too fussed myself
swings and roundabouts

It isnt an easy option to do on this software, there is no decent add on for it so it would require manual coding. Which is expensive. I looked into it on one of our other sites a while back.
-
That's right but on the other Forums I'm on it works really well, because you can see how helpful people are by looking at their thanks count. Also the post that was helpful shows how many thanks that has.
Very handy if you're looking for some help and you see a post with loads of thanks on it posted by a person with loads of thanks themselves. Then you know that post is going to be good information.

This is irrelevant to the topic, but I think a "receive notifications for this thread" is a good idea :) sometimes I have nothing to say but want notifications, lol

That already exists. See if this (https://manchestervacs.co.uk/DysonForum/index.php?action=profile;area=notification;u=2245) works.
