Title: Part fallen off DC18
Post by: nicksdarkroom on July 07, 2011, 09:14:13 am
Hi,

I've recently got a DC18 (which is brilliant!) however upon using it for the second time I managed to get a ribbon caught in the brushbar jamming it. I managed to pull it out and the machine still operates however a rubber part fell out and I can't seem to find where it came from. It has the part number A40 on it, please see the pictures in the attachments:

Does anyone know where this comes from and how to re fit it?

Thanks

Nick

wow you did disasemble that cleaner head , that rubber is a motor mount , you should have two of them, take the plate off that covers the motor and you will see it goes on the motor , their is normally a dust  mark on the motor from were its been

By the way next time you suck up something that gets stuck in the brush roll just undo the two endcaps and pull the brush roll out to clean in
