Title: How do you change a DC07 wand cap?

Does anyone know how to replace one of these?
I've had a look but worried I'll break something!

It pulls out in the "close" direction. You have to yank it quite hard; but there is a small "stop" you must pull it past to get it off.

If that doesn't make sense, I'll post a picture. let me know.
