Hi there, I’m new on here. Sorry if I’ve done anything wrong :))
I’ve recently purchased an AEG Deluxe Autotronic 624 Black Line.
It is indeed brand new as the eBay listing suggested, only storage dust on it.
Sadly there is one issue with it. One rear wheel is cracked to the point it’s ready to snap off altogether. I’ve searched online and can barely find bags for it, let alone wheels! :'(
Wondered if I could pick the brains of you wonderful lot on here? Any help would be great!

I have the BlackLine model below this, and that's a rare thing, only other is known about!
RE the wheel, good luck finding spares! What you need to do is get the wheel off... How that happens I don't actually know, and youll be a few months waiting for me to get to mine! Once the wheel is off though, fill the inner void with epoxy, hot glue etc, that'll hold it!
Any more pictures? Does it have an electronic hose?

I’m happy to send more pics, got quite a growing collection of vacuums, got a new in box Panasonic icon too, luckily it doesn’t have a cracked baseplate like IBAISAIC’s does.
It sure does have an electronic hose, I’m totally in love with it and it’s such a shame it one wheel is damaged. Thanks for your advice, I will be definitely
Using your method until hopefully a used one crops up.
I do have the box for it but it’s not really picture worthy and is in a right old state!

Here’s the entire kit, it’s just a quirk of the iPhone flash making it look like the lettering is missing.
It’s barely got a mark on it!

Electronic hose, love all the flashy lights, very 80’s!
The Autotronic feature is pretty damn snazzy too!
The motor sounds so quality and refined!

Unfortunately it didn’t come with that, according to the manual and box it was an optional extra. I have however been able to source one from Germany, I think these were a little more common over there.. considering that’s where they were made!
I was offered a refund by the seller on eBay because of the damaged wheel, got no wish to return it though. I’m sure I might be lucky one day! :bow:
If you ever want to sell your Hoover Convertible bare me in mind, spent all summer retrobrighting it but the socket for the hose is broken on it. :snivel: :(

Definitely not as handsome as your NIB U5096 though, I had a used one but it was cracking all over so ended up the tip.
In the pic you can just make out the hepaflow bag, a bodge I learnt from your good self, so many of my machines are hepaflowed now :p

On that wheel, as Sam said, it will repair once off from the inside, pipe weld, hot glue, chemical metal or such.

My grey total system Turbomaster practically lies flat when stood up! That will be the machine that gets the most use I think just because it's already fairly knackered! I've got another Electronic Total System in beige too to fettle, got all the parts for it now!
That's mega handy to know you can hepaflo the freedoms, as I've got my Turbopower Freedom to do! And although I shall be using it bagless to experience the joy, it would be much better bagged!

Hi Sam, you will love the ‘Freedom’ bagless experience, 5 mins in and the bag full light comes on and the motor sounds really strained with practically all suction gone.. not even single cyclone here :p

Oh and of course certainly no Hepa, just the high filtration of dust bellowing out the sides with the poor seals! :chuckle:
