Title: Dyson 25 losing suction
Post by: jody54451 on November 26, 2012, 12:12:07 am
Hi! I own a Dyson 25. The machine has been losing suction. I do take care of my filters and my brush bar. I make sure hoses are free of debris. I do notice that the inside of cyclone seems to fill up with dirt and dust. I empty the bin, but then I have to tap-tap the cyclone over and over to remove the dust trapped inside. I believe this is what is causing me to lose suction. Any suggestions? Thank you  ;)

Have you tried un-clipping the cleanerhead and see if there is any debris blocking the pipe behind?

You can also remove the small lower duct hose to see if dirt/dust has backed up causing the reduced suction.

Is the brush bar rotating when the machine is reclined?

yes it is...I think the problem is the cyclone....whenever I empty the canister (numerous times during vacuuming) so much dirt and debris is trapped inside the cyclone. I do clean it out, but the second I vacuum again it get clogged again... that's when I lose suction. Any suggestions? Thanks
