That first DC01 brushroll looks bloody good! How many have you seen? I want one!
-
only 2

If that Dc01 had a more powerful motor it would work really well with that soleplate and brush aswell I imagine
How still are those bristles in comparison to a normal late DC01?
-
well my da001 has a fixed sole plate soled seal to the carpet and hoover junior stiff brushes the best sort of dc01 one that works
-
Mvac, (if you are reading) Have you seen that type of Dc01 brushroll before?
-
I would like to know too
-
I believe the brushroll in the first picture is a 'Tripple Brush Cleaner - for deep down cleaning' l from a DA001 and features the yellow end caps.
My DA001 has the same brushroll and being original is very worn but I dont use the DA001 so I cant comment on its effectiveness. Somewhere there is an original advertising page from a catalogue which explains the Tripple brush (im sure of it).

thanks for that pal

Yes, the white ones do pop up from time to time. We have a tea chest full of DC01 brushrolls that we will fit bearings to when they go obsolete after-market. Some are white bristles.
Welcome to the Classic Dyson Dealer by the way. I am assuming the same chap I see on eBay. :tiphat:

Sorry, I mean the first Dyson pictured (it's brushroll) with the yellow end caps and an aggressive looking brushroll

Less often, but yes.
-
Wow :o
I never had a Dyson older than 1997 really, oldest being the DC01 but with one exception, I believe I may have had an older DC02 because of it's old grey shroud colour and the floortool being that wesselwerk durable type

Mvacs do you know if any of the aftermarket DC01 brushrolls are quite stiff? I often think a very much more aggressive (some of my dc01 brushrolls have the stiffness of cotton...) would make it much better!
You must have ran your fingers over loads when you went hunting for the Rotork brushroll at Q...
-
yes it is
