Title: Model variations?
Post by: lucandhar on October 02, 2011, 01:30:14 pm
Is there actually any difference in power between origin, all floors, animal models and so on? Obviously the difference in some is the clutch etc. But all the other components are the same so why is an animal specifically good for pet hair? Is the only difference colour and attachments?

Motors are the same. Cyclones are the same. Most things are the same.

Filters differ. Clutched and clutch-less differ slightly in performance some say. Other than that, its just marketing.  :-X

Ones without clutches seem to suck better. The motor drives the brush roll directly so there is no resistance caused by the clutch. That said, machines with clutches don't snap belts - clutch-less ones sometimes do. Its six of one and half a dozen of the other.
