Title: De-rooting??

I've just read a Dyson advert that says the seller carries out a process called de-root on some models to bring them up to a newer later specification.

Does anyone know about this de-root(ing) process?

It's got me wondering whether I'm missing a trick?  :underchair:

I've never heard of it.

One place says they can improve on what Dysons multi million quid R&D dept can do?

Exactly, I thought it was probably a phrase they'd invented to sell more Dysons but thought I would ask anyone just incase it was something legitimate. To curb my curiosity if nothing else!
