Title: Miele S8310 not turning on

My Miele S8310 isn't turning on, had all new filters but when it's plugged in the ear indicator flashes briefly but nothing. any ideas?

I was going to say check the fuse but you seem to have power, have you checked that all safety switches are pushed?

Mmmm, the manual doesn't say it's any more technical than an S5, and there's nothing I can think of that would suddenly cause that. Is yours the top end one with the remote control hose? There may be a loose connection there somewhere?

Although the manual doesn't mention an Ear light either, just these
