I'm looking for some advice please..my x4 suddenly stopped working working... I'd just hovered the lounge turned it off for 10 minutes..went back to use it again and nothing...
I've checked another handle setup from another machine and the motor works fine.. I've taken the handle apart cut it back 12 inches and rewired it.. also removed all the dust and fluff from both ends etc..
My thoughts are it's likely to be the switch??
Can this be replaced.. I've had a look at trying to remove it..but couldn't see how it comes out...!
Any advice greatly appreciated..

It can be the switch but the cable is more likely. Have you wiggled it at the plug end? Do you have a multimeter?

Just given the plug end a good wiggle..and nothing I'm afraid...unfortunately I don't have a multi meter... but could easily borrow one..

You'll need to test the continuity of the plug tips to wire ends and the operation of the switch, which is awkward without a meter. Or a battery, a bit of wire and an automotive bulb might do at a pinch.... you only want to know where the current isnt flowing through.
