Post by: jamesey on November 09, 2016, 06:38:48 pm
hi ive replaced the suction motor in the ball with a genuine motor but now when i use the dyson i could do with ear plugs on honestly , no idea what could be causing this , it works great and hoovers up fine , the only thing i can think of you know when you screw the motor housing together theres a rubber seal around it , no idea , its my 1st try at one of these so any help would be great thanks :'(

Hi, it depends on what kind of noise it is. Also, where did you get the motor from? If it's a used one, it could be dodgy.

You probably need to replace the motor again I'm afraid

If you take the ball filter cover off and the filter out, then turn it on, is it a magical wonderous continuous firework display through the grille? Or just a little flash on start up then ok?

Also, whip the brushroll housing off and take the cyclone off then try it, just to rule out any issues with airflow anywhere.
