Title: DC16 Cutting Out

Hi, I have acquired a DC16 that's faulty. Problem is it works for a few seconds then cuts out and red light flashes, if you press the trigger again straight away it does the same again and cuts out again after a few seconds and red light flashes. Does this every time you try to use it.
I've been told its the battery that's had it and needs replacing, do you think that's what the fault is?

Most probably but check the charger is working first, should put out about 21 volts
