I came across these today while trying to identify a part for a chap, so I thought I would put it here to to aid others.

I tried to take this piece apart on a DC05 I had the other week, it looked like it would seperate to get the hair out that was entangled at the entrance...

There is a bit of the DC05 cyclone that is notoriously difficult to get apart. I recall a woman a few weeks ago that brought us one in in bits. Her boyfriend had tried to take it apart and clean it, and then tried to get it back together with no success. It was faster to give her one from our recycling pile that hadn't been taken apart. For her, it was £5 well spent.
