I'm fairly sure it's not. I've got 2 X4s and both have that plain bearing/bushing in the same slightly complicated looking fitting. It seems to have some movement to allow it to accomodate the brush shaft/relative angles when refitting etc, but it doesn't rotate. Edit: not meant to rotate is what I meant, reply to title e.g. it probably is working.

Sebo Vacuum Cleaners / Is the end cap bearing block supposed to spin?
« Last post by SK1 on Today at 11:19:55 am »
Hello,

I'm trying to figure out if my end cap bearing is working properly on my X1.1. Is the central part that I've drawn an arrow to supposed to freely spin? Mine seems to not spin at all.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have fitted it correctly. It works fine though, but looks like there's a gap. But then again, it's probably just me.

Introductions / Re: New Members - How did you find us?

Good morning from Canada
I fortunately found you via a rabbit hole in Google. I have been searching for options to fix or replace a broken/shorted wire in the handle / hose of my Dyson DC46.
I admit though i wasn't looking specifically for a vacuum forum as others have mentioned.
It seems you have alot of knowledge here so thank you for putting in the time and energy to keep the resource alive. It is appreciated.
Thank you

Good day.
Does anyone know if it is possible to get a replacement or compatible wand (or wand with hose) for a Dyson DC46 (I think it is the DC47 for you in the UK?).  I am having a similar issue as another member whereas the powerhead cut intermittently when the hose swiveled in a certain direction (ours only worked when twisted to the right).
Any direction on a possible replacement or if it can be fixed would be greatly appreciated. I know it is an older vacuum but it has been great and the size and weight is perfect for our home.
Thank you in advance for any advice.

Miele Vacuum Cleaners / Re: Miele C3 replacement motor - 408-42/2
« Last post by MVacs on April 21, 2024, 07:19:12 pm »
This is the problem with Miele and one reason we don't do them. The motors tend not to be interchangeable. Perhaps you could swap the PCB as well and it would work if it all looks the same.

The aftermarket never got these right for these reasons.

Replaced the bushes, no better…

Got my eye on a 410-42/2 from an S6220

Can anyone tell me if it is compatible?

I believe the 408-42/2 is 1600w and the 410-42/2 is 1400w
