You have to take off the head, and it is removed by some screws inside. There is a topic >>here<< that details a full strip down.

Second Generation "The Ball" Dysons. / Dyson dc75 brushbar
« Last post by b21playa on April 08, 2024, 02:52:41 pm »
Hi all

I have a dc75 and the brushbar works fine if the angle is past a certain point. If I tilt it slightly too upright, the brushbar turns off. I can only presume either some switch or spring has come off.

Does anyone know how this could be fixed. Is there an angle switch or spring?

Thanks in advance

brush motor schema part
44
Hope for your help.
I have got problem "not spinning any brush" with Dyson V10 Animal.
Everything works fine, except brushes.
I found in internet a self-made schema of similar VC (not sure it fully correct). I also got V17 from a friend of mine for testing.
What I have done before this topic:
With an oscilloscope I checked what was going on when V10/V17 starts without connected brush.
And I got a same graph pattern on both VCs.
On good V17 pcb starts PWM output voltage on terminals (16 volts).
On broken V10 with connected brush : tries to start for short amount of time and instantly stops (by graph on oscilloscope same as like it not connected)
And I swapped U24, and U13 (ICs on schema) from V17 to V10 . And this ICs is absolutely OK.
At this point I can assume that V10 can't see a connected accessory brush.

Unfortunately, lack of knowledge can't lead me to solution. I cant't understand how V10 get OK signal when brush connected.
Hope that somebody helps me find a solution.
 Regards, Andy

Suggestion Box / Search Problem
« Last post by tim.e on April 07, 2024, 08:30:28 pm »
Well I have had several DC01s so knew about you.
I now have a DC24 as does my son.
They have started to go wrong so after a bit of a google
I recognised Manchester Vacs name, and created a new account mainly to access the forum.
I must say there is loads of info on here but I’m having trouble weeding out the good stuff.

e.g. search for DC24 tutorials and get a load of dross.
Please suggest better ways to search
Despite my age I’m good at tech stuff generally
BUT
I’m no lover of social media.
THANKS

Sebo Vacuum Cleaners / Re: Sebo Felix Pet stopped working altogether while using

Continuity test the cable from plug to switch, and switch to motor.
If the motor has blown you would normally hear a popping sound, and maybe some smoke.

Hello. Can anyone help me please. I have the X! Automatic SEBO and I need to replace the Chrome Strip on the sole plate and the brushing strip. I have bought both the parts bit cannot see how to get the old chrome plate off?  Any help or advice would be gratefully received. Thank you very much. Natalie

Still got a blockage somewhere that is restricting the airflow? But must be fairly minor if it runs for 15 mins before shutting down.

PS: having read several posts relating to this, the issue is not the brushroll being worn or gone 'soft': it was replaced less than a year ago.
The belt sensor also seems OK, with both magnets in place, and it turns freely.

Miele Vacuum Cleaners / Re: Miele S5280 - Board repair?
« Last post by macman on April 03, 2024, 12:55:47 pm »
Might be simpler to buy a used PCB, or find a scrapper that uses the same board.
New Miele parts are absurdly pricey, even if you can find someone who will sell them to you, as the spares supply is now locked down so tight.
Repairing a board at component level requires a degree of knowledge and skill that most of us do not have, unless it's just something like resoldering a dry joint.
