This came from Freecycle back in late summer (before August as I still had the ZX).

A very pretty in pink Electrolux Unirapido battery stick vac, with instruction book! However, my excitement was short lived, as I discovered it didn't have the brushroll fitted >:(
So it got lobbed in the shed for a fair few months, until I bought my current car and paid serial Dysonist George a visit, who happened to have scrapped an Electrolux Ergorapido not long before, and had kept me the brushroll (and bolt for the handle, which was also missing), so the day was saved, and one day when doing a load of washing I popped the filter in the machine

Then, one day at the beginning of October, I took a picture of the ratings plate

and got it apart!

Bin off (I cant call it a Cyclone, it's too crap for that!)

The bin insert pulls out

and to think this came from a nice posh house in Henley on Thames! tut tut (4 months in the shed may not have helped admittedly)

I washed this part of the filter up manually so it wasn't damaged in the machine

The handle of the main machine splits by removing the bolt that sits here

Like so

Then, on the top half of the handle, remove the screws

and split it
[attachimg=5]
The wires are held in with a cable clamp

The switch is screwed down
[attachimg=7]
and lifts out with those removed
[attachimg=8]
The switch slide button is held in by this plastic part that clamps it to the main handle, removed with a screw

To continue, we need to move to the base of the machine

The brushroll is removed
[attachimg=2]
The little wheels pop out
[attachimg=3]
Then, undo all the screws and split the housing. The little door thing that holds the brushroll in will fall out

The plastic rod that pops the brushroll release door open lifts out, along with its spring
[attachimg=5]
Then, the head can be seperated from the machine, along with the brushroll motor
[attachimg=6]
Which is a dinky little thing

The internal hose is released by popping the tabs out of the main machine

It's suitably filthy

The metal bar and plastic end bits that hold the head to the machine pulls off the machine

A screw holds the cover bit to the pivoting part

Now, to proceed, we need to move back on up, to the bin release button, which pops out

leaving 2 chunky springs behind. Next, remove ALL the screws, and the casing should split, but be careful as there are wires attached to the 2 halves.
These two screws need to be removed

Which releases the PCB

Next, we need to pass the brushroll motor through the.... ah

Remove the small screws
[attachimg=7]
Pull it all apart

Teeney tiny belt

And the motor now fits through the hole! Almost as if they made it that way

If you are really bored want to, the brushroll cogs split down further

The bin release is a complicated affair of levers

These two get pulled up when the button is pushed

The main bar pops out of 2 tabs

Now, back to electronics

Well, ish. Another cable clamp on the lower part of the handle to remove

Then, 2 annoyingly angled screws underneath the motor

Removes the motor side cover
[attachimg=3]
You can see the screw holes here. The sound deadening/diffuser on either side isn't too filthy

Here we go

Lift the motor up carefully and you will see another little board screwed to the housing

With that little board removed the whole lot lifts up and out, but not away yet

The two metal tabs are the charging contacts, the 2 wires run down to the brushroll

I was too lazy to break out the soldering iron, as EVERYTHING IS SOLDERED TOGETHER >:(, it was a right arse. So snip snip

The fancase seal pops off the motor

That's as far as it goes though, as it's all crimped together!

No idea what this ceramic thing is though, a resistor? thermal cut out? added weight to make it feel heavier?

This is the battery pack, probably upgradeable with 3000mAh chinese cells should one be bothered to

Finally, the machine is empty!

All of the wiring bar the brushroll motor was still intact, it all works well when turned on even like this!

So, charging base first

Cover back on and all clipped together

The motor is all ready to go

But first thing to go back is the brushroll motor, it's chopped wires fed through their little hole (hence the need to chop the wires), then fed around the rubber seal at the base and pushed into place, where it popped out at the littlest movement

The main wiring lump is dropped in, the cut cables crimped together and fed through

With considerable fiddling, the motor surround pops back on under the motor, and screws in, then the front part of the chassis clips and screws on

Bar fitted, as well as the sliding blocks

Cover, springs and button fitted

Brushroll motor cogs put together

and fitted to the motor

Pivot and vanity cover fitted, with the wire run

This all gets popped into the lid of the brushroll housing

Which gets the brushroll release rod fitted, cover screwed down then the brushroll fitted

Back to the top, handle all wired up and put back together

and DONE! Quite a simple machine once all the electrics are forgotten about!

It worked very well tbh. Battery lasted 20 minutes, it picked up OK and most importantly, sold for £30 very quickly!

That looks like a neatish vac for quick jobs/hard floors! I prefer the looks of your Shark tho
£30 for that is good! The motor housing looks like a right jungle :o

It's not a bad thing, for the price it costs it would do the job, the lady who bought it had it as a glorified brush I think, which it's ideal for

We sell a Morphy Richards machine @ £99 that is more than identical in many respects.

It looks nicer than the Electrolux, that's for sure!
I got given a Bissel MagicBroom yesterday that was being thrown out, now that is a sad excuse for a stick vac, will do a thread on that when I get round to it!
