Which one would be better?
-
On HEPA and sponge filters I've not had a problem using copies instead of original
I only work on the earlier models though , no experience of using OEM in later dysons
-
I haven't had any problems other than slight - very slight size difference on post ball filters clips.
Same applies to my car and thats what i ask my customers, i offer original dyson filters if they are required and explain the cost difference. Then i ask if they fit original parts to their car when in for service or does the garage fit pattern parts. ?
We know the answer 99% of the time.

I am more confident in washing a genuine DC07 filter rather than a pattern one because the genuine ones have a mesh screen on either side of the wooly cotton material in the yellow filter cage. This protects the wooly material because I use a brush to scrub the cage clean
The non genuine ones don't have this (in my experience)
However, grit can be difficult to remove from the genuine ones...

How about Hepa filters the geniune vs non geniune?
-
TBH they seem about the same to me quality wise, then again I've never had a genuine post HEPA filter brand new before on a 14/07

We fit only non genuine where available.
