Does anyone know if any later models of Dyson have a soleplate to fit the DC25? The DC 25 soleplate has some plastic retaining pieces that go under the brush bar and prevent suction; not a major issue but irritating as my previous DC01 seemed to pick up better. Only bought a new one because it was lighter.
Any help gratefully received.

Hello Annie.
The DC25 soleplate is unique to the DC25.

Thanks for the reply.
I really wanted to know if the soleplate of any later models eg DC40 would fit the DC25, but if every soleplate is unique to the model it's intended for I guess not? Just would prefer it without the plastic bars as it's not as efficient, just a minor point but slightly irritating!

All Dysons have those plastic bars. Including the DC01. If your machine is not picking up, it is for another reason.

MVacs is correct in our experience.
Go through the usual checks:
Look for a blockage;
Clean the filter that sits at the top of the cyclone - these block up quicker than your old DC01;
Check the roller is turning.
If these things are ok then take it to a repair centre.

Thanks everyone, I'll try all of that.
