Hi guys, can you help me out here, my dc15 has a slight issue, I have removed the switch and switched on my hoover and the brush bar still works when its up right.. Brush bar is always on regardless what i do. Any ideas why this would be and how to make it stop?

I am thinking either the soft touch switch has shorted and is making a permanent live, or there is a fault on the PCB.
How practical are you? If you have a test meter and know how to strip the machine down some, I can give you some pointers. If you are not practical, this is one for the repair shop. The DC15 is not a terribly simple machine.
But can you clarify.......
I have removed the switch and switched on my hoover
What switch have you removed?

hi i removed the switch at the top, next to the main power button, completely disconnected it switch on the machine fully upright and the front brush was still spinning, I do have a test meter

I am leaning towards a fault on the PCB. >>here<< (https://manchestervacs.co.uk/Dyson/DC15-spare-parts.html/DC15-PCB-911277-01).
