Hey you lot,
I wonder if any of you can help me with my Sebo?
I have a G1 which I had to import from Germany because they don't sell them here in England, because of this Sebo UK won't help me with my problem. Although they have sold me parts.
Anyway, my issue is there is a rumble and vibration, and the motor randomly gets pulled back and forward... Now I could go on and on trying to explain but I have a Video I made, I'll post a link to it so you can watch that and you'll see exactly what it's doing... If nobody minds?
I am well and truly stumped on this one, I've replaced most things!
Thank you all for any help and advice you can give me, maybe some of you have had this issue! :)

I just did some random Googling on this out of curiosity. I found one similar reference the guy didn't get an answer to.
When pushing and pulling vacuum across carpets there is a strange noise, sometimes an electrical smell a rattle and vibration on the roller housing. (I've been naughty and observed and felt these vibrations with the top cover removed). Could it be related to the clutch mechanism built into the brush spindle?
Well, you have changed the clutch mechanism, so it isnt that.
I am guessing you have ran it with the belts removed one by one and discounted the brushroll?
Surely that leaves only a bent motor spindle or motor bearing issue?

Yup, if you watch part 1 and 2 of the repair video's (If you can find them among the other videos) I have taken each belt off, replaced the brush roll bearings, sensor and inspected the belts and motor... The motor runs great on its own, and feeling the spindle/bearing with your hand there is no play or flat spots...
I'm going to replace the belts, if that doesn't fix it it pretty much has to be a motor issue, somewhere... I recon :-X

Did you resolve this?

Partly, have you got the same issue?
-
No unfortunately not but i did look at my x1.1 with the cover off to see what could cause it. Only main difference is electronic height adjustment, i was going to suggest that little metal tensioner with rubber on the end that tightens the belt but noticed you mentioned it. You could do with another machine of a friends to swap components over one by one to elimate the cause. Dam good vacuums but can imagine they are a pain when they are playing up.

Well I put a new belt on and it was normal again, but 5mins later it started rumbling again lol.
