yes we may laugh now the quickest way to end up in divorce court >:( ,
funny thing is that back in the 50's hoover was the Dyson of the day and I know quite a few wives who were very happy that there husband had bought them a dyson for christmas as one of there christmass presents .
What is important to note is the ONE OF THERE CHRISTMAS PRESENTS not the only one

Its not often any more that you encounter a DC01 in the box! :o
However, that's exactly what we got yesterday.
[attachimg=1]
Don't contact us for it though, it has already gone to a collector.
-
Something else I found on my internet travels.....
[attachimg=1]
-
In case anyone is interested, this is the Dyson store in the GUM shopping centre on Red Square in Moscow.
[attachimg=1]
[attachimg=2]
Not a cheap place I gather. Unfortunately, I never noticed it last time I was there or I would have gone in for a look.
-
This will make you dizzy if you watch it.......
[attachimg=1]
-
This is from John Lewis's Christmas shop window in London. Reindeers made from Dysons.
[attachimg=1]
[attachimg=2]
-
That is quality!
-
These two Dyson "robots" are (or were) outside other shops in other parts of the country I gather.
[attachimg=1]
[attachimg=2]
I think we may make one of those! :icon_nod:
-
Ha that's brilliant!
I've just asked amy if I could make one for the garden. She said maybe for Halloween...
Does dyson plastic burn well? :evilgrin0002:
-
This Henry the Hoover nativity scene is the best shop window you’ll see this Christmas.
Kris Sale (44) and his son Ashley Sale (16) have done something very special in the window of their electrical appliances shop in Southend.
[attachimg=1]
-
That is utter brilliance :bow:
-
At Dyson's new store in Tokyo, one can find stone Dysons outside.
[attachimg=1]
I think we need some of those. :icon_nod:
-
Should be cheap to get one cast using an actual Dyson as a mold!
-
:o
Could have one ether side of the gateway onto the drive ;D Would have to be uprights

I would have thought the Queen vic would have a Dyson! They used to have a DC01 Standard with a YDK motor, was told they also had a DC04 too. PS a woman was vacuuming with a bagged panasonic upright on EastEnders and it sounded EXACTLY like a Silver lime DC04 and when she turned it off I heard the changeover valve which the panasonic does not have XD Edited sound! haha lol ;D
-
Well, they used to say VB was "too posh to push", but it would seem not. ;)
[attachimg=1]

Two I found here.

I'm not sure what's going on here, but this bloke [found on Twitter] clearly loves himself and is quite excited with his DC14. Personally, I can't see the point of the selfie, passing ladies here might have an opinion.......

Theres a vacuum collector who poses like this, it put me off my dinner so many times I blocked him on facebook so it wouldn't come up on my feed!

I know who you are referring to :boggleeye:, some of my collector friends over here told me about that. I couldn't help but laugh, but I'm glad I don't have facebook for this very reason!
-
Meh, thats what the unfriend button is for. Facebook is what you make it!

Madrat: Well spotted, and a telescope reach wand

Must have butchered up quite a few dysons for that one!
-
sorry, not a dyson, but still funny
(it seems your site won't accept animated gifs) !!!
-
And some little old lady will still find a way to plug it up and act indignant about the situation.

There is a big resurgence of interest about everything vintage recently. Lots of interest also in vintage style glamour photography. Lots of girls go and get professional photoshoots done in studios that are recreated as rooms from the past. It's a lot of fun for girls getting dressed up with victory rolls in their hair, lingerie and classic clothing etc. Into these scenes are being placed inevitably vacuum cleaners too.
[attachimg=1]
[attachimg=2]
I think every vintage style photography studio at the moment has got themselves a vintage vacuum cleaner.
-
Nice, don't think much of the blond.
-
SIlly girl in the top picture, that 375 will ruin that linoleum, what a waste. Doesn't she know there's a war on? Also, she must be a time traveller as those replacement bags weren't available until the 60/70's!
That Electrolux saddens me too, what a horrible hose to put on it!

George Harrison and Patty Boyd look pleased with their new Hoover Senior.

It was of course the Senior that inspired George's most famous composition: 'While My Hoo-ver Gently Sweeps'...

This is almost a retro image now: James Dyson chilling on a chair with his wife Deirdre in the foreground demonstrating the DC03. This must date from the late 90s.
