Title: The ball-bearings in the clutch
Post by: frderek on April 08, 2019, 01:14:25 PM
Hello,

First post from me :)

I bought a DC04 at auction about 10 years ago to use as a spare/back-up for our DC14 Animal. Long story short, the motor expired in a puff of smoke and it was about to go to the tip when I discovered Beko1987 on YouTube. So, the whole thing is now disassembled and awaiting the arrival of a new motor. From disassembling, it has become clear that it's been used for DIT/building clear-up in the past, which probably explains its poor performance.

A couple of peculiarities have emerged:

does anyone know what size these ball bearings are so that I can order some spares?
thanks :)

By the time you’ve ordered new ballbearings wouldn’t it be easier just to buy a secondhand clutch?
