Utter brilliant performance
« on: November 08, 2013, 05:27:11 PM »
I am utterly utterly shocked at the cleaning power of the DC03.  I vacuumed with a DC07 then went over the same area with my DC03 and what the 07 left behind was shocking.  Considering the lower power of the 03 it has managed to pick up much more fine dirt. :o

Have you cleaned the inner cyclone on your DC07?

As I reckon a DC07 should wipe the floor with a DC03. If you'll pardon the pun.........

No the DC07 dose need a clean, but have just tried it against a DC04 and the DC03 won again.  I'm terrified to try it against my DC25  :underchair:  :-X

Hmm, try comparing the condition the brushbar, clutch, filters and air path around the DC03 to the DC07 and 04 and you might not be so surprised at all.
If not, then its got to be because of the fact the last vacuum that cleans the rug up will pick up left over dirt, its like comparing a DC07 to an Argos value range upright, and the Argos value upright will pick up just a little bit more.
This is because of the dirt that gets trodden down by daily walking over and the wear and tear of the carpet, so it needs a thorough vacuuming, I tried it with a DC04 silver lime model, I vacuumed an area rug, emptied it like 5 or 6 times and it still picked up the dust in the carpet
DC14s are tanks, just need a slightly longer motor life. Do plastic parts often break on DC14s? Nope. DC41- Sexy looking futuristic and powerful machine. Just needs a better designed cleaner head wheel and cyclone clip along with a dense metal rod in the chassis.
