DC18 no suction in wand, repairable?
« on: December 01, 2013, 01:30:48 PM »
Hi all,

New to the forum here, hello!    I just got my first dyson, a second hand DC18.

The wand doesn't work, and Dyson's helpline confirmed its out of warranty and troubleshooting on the phone for blockages didn't yield anything.

I just wondered if this was repairable? To my untrained eyes it seems perhaps a diverter valve of some sort is stuck to the upright mode?

thanks in advance.

This is the thread you want to help troubleshoot whether it's the usual DC18 undercarriage problem (it certainly sounds like it might be!)
