Dyson animal sucking itself to hardwood floor
« on: May 25, 2014, 01:03:58 AM »
Hi,
had my awesome dyson animal for 1.5 years and started having problems a few months ago. I religiously cleaned my filters, then decided last month to purchase a few back ups sinse they were getting used a lot. I also ordered a new hose cuz the one I had was really nasty from a lot of use. (two dogs and boys with lots of fine dirt and hair!) I got my replacement parts and the suction power was incredible for about three days....like the day I bought it which made me realize it was the filters. Now I cannot even move my dyson across a hard surface because it is sucking itself to the floor. I have had multiple back surgeries and OMG the pain is exacerbated because I cannot push the machine. I have taken the brush plate apart per the instructions which I had done several times in the past to clean it. Checked everything in the manual and have no clue as to what the issue is. My husband thinks the plate needs to be replaced, now my son looked at it and thinks there is a wheel missing from the spin brush which does look like there is a space for it, maybe it fell off? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

You've posted under 'Ball Dysons', so I suspect that this is the issue?
