DC24 help please!
« on: July 14, 2014, 02:09:36 PM »
Hi
My DC24 started making a peculiar small and the brush bar stopped working intermittently. Then there was a spark, strong smell and no brush rotation as at all.
I have taken the head to bits and the smell (like burnt our electric smell) is coming from the motor, so I assume this is what need replacing.
Is it just this part or do I need to do anything else?
Many thank in advance, Lucy x

We have them >>here<< probably cheaper than you will find anywhere else. But you do need to check the PCB output is around 300vDC to be sure the PCB isn't fried.

If your machine is an early one, you may have to swap the cog over, more on that >>here<<.

The tutorial is below in case of need.  :tiphat:
