Kirby Legend ll

Managed to get hold of this little lot today.

These were hiding under the hose.

For a very very very brief period (3 days) in the early 90s I worked for Kirby.

WOW. Kirby's are like one of the most powerful vacuums however they are clumsy to use. Take the cleaner head off to use the hose, LOL but still nice find! Looks like it has all the bits and bobs, enjoy!
DC14s are tanks, just need a slightly longer motor life. Do plastic parts often break on DC14s? Nope. DC41- Sexy looking futuristic and powerful machine. Just needs a better designed cleaner head wheel and cyclone clip along with a dense metal rod in the chassis.

Very smart! I do have a soft spot for Kirbys, as impractical as they are!

I had a G5 for a year once, we were in our old 2 befroom flat, and it couldnt have been more impractical, but only cost me a tenner. Needed the lower handle joint tightening, a new fan and a new floorhead seal, oh and a new belt.

Tool suction was always ferocious too!

Eva never used to mind it either

Sold it when I got the Miele S5 for 95, so that wasnt bad either! Would have another one! This http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121567944988?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT isnt too far from me but it's not at the 99p I hoped it would stay at still!
