DC50 Animal Seal
« on: October 01, 2015, 10:49:36 PM »
Evening all,

I have Dyson vac and unblocked the cylinder the other day at the side but later noticed it wasn't sucking up as it used to do when down. Also I noticed a seal round the house but have no idea where it goes ! :-(

See pic of seal.

Any help would be appreciated.

Does it sit inbetween the cleaner head and machine? Its a bit hard to tell without any sense of scale,  it could be 5mm, could be 5 foot!

Trying to work it out based on my brief,  unpleasant experience with my dc50!

Thanks for the reply I have measured the seal and it's 2 1/2 inch in diameter, I have only taken the cylinder out to clean but now loses suction!

Any advice?

After playing around with it just now I have found the problem! it doesn't look like the seal came from the vac. I detached the bottom rollers and the tube was all blocked up with hair, so cleaned it up and as good as new!

Thanks for the input though.
