DC 33 LOOSE BIN
« on: May 19, 2016, 04:55:20 PM »
Just picked up a DC 33 just out of warranty, for a fiver. Local, too. The motor is popping, and stinks like hell, so not too hard to guess what I shall be doing this weekend. I've never had one of these before, and notice that the base of the bin seems loose, although everything is done up/clipped together properly. Looks as though it was designed this way though. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi yes we have a Dyson DC33 and when you carry it from the cyclone handle it lifts up as a safety feature for the cyclone release button to be locked
DC14s are tanks, just need a slightly longer motor life. Do plastic parts often break on DC14s? Nope. DC41- Sexy looking futuristic and powerful machine. Just needs a better designed cleaner head wheel and cyclone clip along with a dense metal rod in the chassis.

Thanks Parwaz -you learn something new every day! That's put my mind at rest. The cleaner definitely needs a new motor, but is otherwise clean, and a very viable seller.
