BLACK/SILVER DC07 - COLLECTABLE?
« on: June 13, 2016, 05:17:52 PM »
I've been following a black/silver DC07 on an auction site for about a week now, and despite it having a dodgy motor and a split hose, have just seen it go for what I consider to be a high price. I've never seen one of these in the flesh before. Is this model/colour combination particularly collectable, or did someone get carried away by bidding fever?

That's a Dyson DC07 precision and was a very late model- an Argos exclusive model and isn't exactly rare due to it being a rare model and especially sold in Argos as well (popular retailer)

I imagine it being a budget Dyson at the time because it's not a HEPA vacuum and also non clutched ;) The buyer must have got carried away
DC14s are tanks, just need a slightly longer motor life. Do plastic parts often break on DC14s? Nope. DC41- Sexy looking futuristic and powerful machine. Just needs a better designed cleaner head wheel and cyclone clip along with a dense metal rod in the chassis.

I'd have a shop full of them if I could. They fly out! I seldom see them.

Do people really find them aesthetic?

I think the late model DC14 all floors looks sexy, and the silver animal too

I think there is a black DC14, might be dark blue or dark purple but on Dysons computer pics it looks black

There's a black DC19 precision too, just remembered
